I understand how you feel, try to find more brief respites.
Living with impending fear of Armageddon, Jehovah or whatever is not mentally healthy long term. I know it affected me growing up. Groups or religions use this fear to control and pressure people. I have found that many don’t live in fear but they still hold themselves to high moral standards. They do this not because of possible punishment but because they have sense of self worth. No one told them they were unworthy or "born into sin".
You sound depressed, and you’re comment about “being able end it all at anytime myself” is dangerous. It’s good to examine your beliefs, but at the end of the day you’re more important. Take care of yourself and find some joy in your life.

Mexico and authorities
by diamondiiz inhas anyone contacted mexican authorities to find out an explanaition as to why wts was permited to exist for some 50 years under a cultral banner instead of a religious one?
also, another good question to them should be that of their "identidy cartilla for military service"!
how can jws hold this document if they teach against military service and yet are at the same time holding these documents?

wha happened - If you want to learn Mexican its helps to learn Spanglish first.
diamondiiz - I thought they werent allowed to a have a "religous banner". Most of anti-clerical laws were lifted in '91? or around that time. Today I'm sure the goverment has better things to worry about.

Gordy, I have nothing to say... that sucks. Just stay in touch with her. Even its only once a year. Or four times a year. Doesnt matter, just stay in touch.
I am a semi-pro wedding crasher. So if you want me to break things up let me know....

You will fit into the real world. Between me and you were probably the most popular guys on JWN!
To be honest I'm afraid too...

I'll pray for u.
by wha happened? inok it's no secret my mother is seriously ill. the neighbors and friends who have grown to love her are constantly asking for updates.
at the end of virtually every conversation is stated, i'll pray for her or some other mention of divine request.. in the other corner are the multitide of jw's i've known and helped over the years.
no mention of prayers.. i know it's obvious but the love from heritics clearly out paces "the friends".. i'm just annoyed that's all.. .

sigh indeed.
Never thought about it before but I remember when my mother had a serious accident. She was in the hospital for about two years. The neighbors all pitched in and took care of our yard and house. They also made home cooked meals for us. These were people who were doomed at Armageddon. Most of what I remember from the Hall was single women hitting on my Dad in case my Mom didn’t pull through. One of the local churches had a prayer for her. I don't remember the KH doing that.

About the Bethelites.....
by cameo-d in....the ones that are getting kicked to the curb.. are they just taking it in stride that this downsizing is from jehover?.
do most of them still believe wt is "the truth"?.
does anyone know if these guys are starting to realize that wt has been a scam all along?.
-
C. T. Russell
First, do you want to help them cameo-d?
I can tell you that 99% of them will blame themselves. They weren’t spiritual enough. They didn’t work hard enough. Somehow Jehovah has deemed them unfit.
For the others, they may have some doubt about the WTB&TS Inc. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t believe in Jehovah. Calling their God "jehover" won’t get them to respond.
I joke around allot, but if you want your target audience to respond you have to take them seriously.
